Wash Day is a Ceremony - Kiffy Naturals
A few months ago, a brand called Kiffy Naturals offered to send me some of her great natural skin and haircare. I loved the products and the philosophy of the woman behind the brand that I used her brand in a video that celebrated wash day for black hair. It is a video that uplifts that return to the curly, kinky coils, and the bond between daughter and mother (and father!). I wrote original poetry, and worked with a videographer , who in turn worked with a music composer, and together the video ceremoniously flowed together .

With the resounding online applause that the video received on Instagram, I thought it was necessary to follow up the video with an in-depth conversation with the Kiffy Naturals owner herself, a master at her craft of developing natural, organic, herbal remedies for skin and hair. What are your thoughts and emotions around wash day? Remember that especially with children, they are creating their first impressions of their natural bodies with every experience they have.
